ABOUT DEANSTON
One of Scotland’s younger distilleries, having opened its doors in 1966, Deanston inhabits a former cotton mill in the town of Doune (near Stirling) in the Highland region of Scotland. The River Teith, which runs alongside the distillery, provides both a perfect water source for the whisky and creates hydroelectric energy to run the distillery. Deanston is hand crafted using only Scottish barley and is aged in the former weaving shed of the cotton mill which provides consistent year-round humidity ideal for ageing Scotch. Deanston’s core line-up includes Virgin Oak, an innovative malt finished in previously unused American Oak barrels, along with their flagship 12 YO. The distillery is known for having a structured and complex taste profile with sweet honeyed notes.

Recipes
Virgin Oak Blood & Sand
Ingredients
- ¾ oz Deanston Virgin Oak
- ¾ oz Cherry Liquor
- ¾ oz Sweet Vermouth
- ¾ oz Orange Juice
- Ice
- Garnish: Orange twist
Directions
Add all ingredients into a shaker with lots of ice, shake to combine.
Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.Garnish with an orange peel twist.

Virgin Oak Whisky Sour
Ingredients
- 2 oz Deanston Virgin Oak
- ¾ oz Lemon Juice
- ½ oz Simple Syrup
- ¼ oz Egg White
- Ice
- Garnish: 1 cherry & an orange slice
Directions
Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake for approximately 20s to combine and chill really well. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with the cherry and orange slice.

Virgin Oak & Soda Highball
Ingredients
- 2 oz Deanston Virgin Oak
- 4 oz Premium Soda Water
- Ice
- Garnish: Lemon slice
Directions
Add measure of Virgin Oak to a highball glass filled with ice. Top up with Premium Soda Water and mix. Garnish with a slice of lemon.
